God's Plan of Salvation

The Only way to Heaven is through Jesus Christ:

John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

The Bible clearly states that the ONLY way to get to heaven is to go through Jesus Christ. There is no other way this can be accomplished. John 11:26 And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?

Anyone who attempts to gain eternal salvation by some other means is a thief and a robber as stated John 10:1 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.

Your good works cannot save you:

Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: (9) Not of works, lest any man should boast.

Romans 5:18 Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.

You are not saved by something that you have done.  You are not saved for giving to charity. You are not saved by anything that you have done.

In fact, if we try to use any of our works to claim a piece of our salvation, it is a slap in the face of Jesus.  The gift of salvation is something that cannot be purchased.  All of the money, property, gold, and silver can not even come close to the price of covering one of our sins let alone buy our salvation.

If I were to purchase a very expensive gift for 10 million dollars and give it you, and you tried to give me $10.00 toward the gift, first it would longer be a a gift and secondly, it would devalue the gift.

The Plan of Salvation:

(1) Admit that you are a sinner.

Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Romans 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:

1 John 1:10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

If you don't believe that you are a sinner, then you don't need a savior. If you are not a sinner then you don't need to be saved from anything. If you don't need a savior which is Jesus Christ then you don't need his free gift of salvation which makes the gift of non-affect.

(2) Be willing to repent or to turn from your sins.

Luke 13:5 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.

Act 17:30 And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:
To continue on your "old ways" is not pleasing to the Lord. We are to turn away from the old sinful ways and become a new creature in Christ.

2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

(3) Believe that Jesus Christ died for you, was buried, and rose from the dead.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

(4) Through prayer, invite Jesus into your life to become your personal Saviour.

Romans 10:10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Here we have a positive statement. It clearly states that you shall be saved, not might be or possibly be saved but shall be saved.

(5) Ask Jesus to come into your life

Pray a prayer similar to this prayer listed below. Keep in mind that you are to pray from your heart, and not from an already prepared or canned prayer. This is only an example.

Dear God, I am a sinner and need forgiveness. I believe that Jesus Christ shed His precious blood and died for my sins. I am willing to turn from sin. I now invite Christ to come into my heart and life as my personal Saviour.

If you have received Jesus Christ as your Saviour, as a Christian you should:

Read the King James Version of the Bible every day.

2 Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Psalms 119:105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.
Speak to God through out the day in prayer.

Matthew 21:22 And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.

Philippians 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

Speak to God throughout the day in prayer.

Matthew 21:22 And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.

Philippians 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

Be baptized, worship, fellowship, and serve with other Christians in a church where Christ is preached and the KJV Bible is the final authority.

Matthew 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

Hebrews 10:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

2Timothy 3:16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

Follow the great commission given to us by Christ in Mark 16:15.

Mark 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

1Corinthians 9:16 For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel!

Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
