Christian Rock and Roll - Part 4

Aren't you doing more harm than good attacking other Christians?

We are not "attacking" other Christians.

We are "judging" CCM by the word of God — exactly as the Lord commanded us. And despite the attempts of today's non-offensive, tolerant Christianity, it is not possible to separate the "sin from the sinner". Just because we are dealing with Christ-professing people does not mean we are to "turn a deaf ear" or develop a "see no evil, hear no evil" attitude. (If you haven't already read What gives you the right to judge the CCM artists? please do so now) In fact, scripture tells us that "judgment must BEGIN at the house of God".

"For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God:. . ." 1 Peter 4:17

We are obeying God. The scripture clearly commands us to "search the scriptures, whether those things are so". The scripture clearly commands us to "prove all things".

(16) All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
) That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works. 2 Timothy 3:16-17

Prove all things; hold fast that which is good. 1 Thessalonians 5:21

We are presenting the truth about Christian rock in the light of the word of God. And if you believe that is "doing more harm than good" — you love CCM and Christian rock more than the word of God!

The Truth is NEVER "doing more harm than good".

And ye shall know the TRUTH, and the TRUTH shall make you free. John 8:32

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the TRUTH, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. John 14:6

(16) And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
(17) Even the Spirit of TRUTH; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. John 14:16-17

But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the TRUTH. 1 Timothy 3:15
